St. Jude
 
St. Jude, the Apostle, has long been the patron saint of lost causes. When all seems lost and beyond our hope, we plead with St. Jude to lift our prayers and concerns before the throne of God. The hand-carved statue was commissioned in the 1940s and was a gift to the Cathedral from the Franciscan Sisters and the Alumni of Briar Cliff College.
