Stations of the Cross

The fouteen Stations of the Cross mark a processional route that commemorates the last hours of the life of Jesus. The ancient tradition of the Stations is inspired by the places along the Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem, the route Jesus walked from the Roman Praetorium to Golgatha, the place of His death. These Stations were a gift from the people of St. Thomas parish in Emmetsburg, Iowa. They date from 1905.
